Prezi Represents Web 3.2
Prezi can best be summarized as the Mac version of PowerPoint.
Unfortunately for Apple, it's a product out of Budapest, not Cupertino. But Prezi is a neat presentation tool that eliminates the static, linear nature of traditional PowerPoint slides. The Flash-based Prezi includes interactive mapping with paths around and through (not back and forth to) topics. It realistically represents how we have come to interact online: we bounce around, collecting tidbits of data from various sources until we've culled enough information to satisfy a need. We no longer read an article from start to finish. We scan. We jump between two articles and three blog posts. Prezi enables us to do this in a presentation: check out a video, review some images, read relevant bullet points, then move on. Mission accomplished.
